or the study, scientists of the German National Research Centre for Environment and |
Health exposed popular indoor plants to formaldehyde, one of the most common indoor |

air pollutant. They reported that enzymes in the plant leaves break down the toxic chemical |
into non-toxic components that can be used by the plant. |
